5 Ways to Help Celebrate Recovery

(1.) Prepare a snack or dessert and coffee to hand out once a month on Thursday evenings.

We would love for you to help hand out snacks or desserts and coffee to our friends. Joining others in this way is a great way to serve people before we start the meeting at 7:00 p.m. This is a way that you can show love to our friends who join us on Thursdays.

(2.) Keep children one Thursday a month from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. so parents can come participate.

Many people who would love to come to CR have children that they cannot leave at home by themselves. Up to this point, we have not been able to offer childcare to these families because of our lack of volunteers in this ministry. We have to tell people no, and they are not able to join us because we do not have anyone to watch their kids for them. Having this option would open up so many avenues to our parents with young children who really would benefit by attending our celebrate recovery.

(3.) Commit to coming to a Celebrate Recovery meeting and learn more of what it is all about.

Many of you probably are curious as to what celebrate recovery actually is, but may not have felt in the past that you would be welcome. You are absolutely welcome, everyone is! The word “recovery” scares some people. They think it must just be for people who struggle with alcohol or drugs. This is not the case at all. Only 1/3 of the people in CR struggle with alcohol or drugs. Everyone else struggles with many other things, like we all do, that hinder our walk with God. You have a place at CR and God can show you areas where you can improve yourself. CR can help! We would love for you to come and experience for yourself what that is all about. We call our CR family our “forever family”, being a part makes you feel like you are home. Welcome Home! If you are nervous about it, bring a friend. Friends make everything easier!

(4.) Pray for our friends who are part of our Celebrate Recovery.

We would love for you to become a prayer warrior for our friends who join us at CR. We can ask them for prayer requests they have and pass these prayers on to you. As you probably already know, prayer changes lives!

(5.) Be part of our worship team/band and help lead worship with us on Thursday evenings.

In the past we have been fortunate enough to have a worship team/band help lead our worship each Thursday night. As of right now, we do not have anyone who is able to serve in this way. We would love to have you sing/play and worship together with us during our meetings each Thursday!
